Imam Ali (AS) says:

For people for sins, do not reveal what is absent from you, for God, Glory be to Him, judge them, and he will be worsened, and the righteousness is not.

There are truly defects for the people, do not reveal what is hidden from you, because God will judge his sublime and to cover ugly and defect as much as you can, so that God the glorified God will cover what you love.
